About

Dr India Whitehouse and Dr Toby Rowe’s history and qualifications.

Dr India Whitehouse

India trained to become a clinical psychologist via a Doctoral Clinical Psychology training program at The University of Bristol (affiliated with The University of Plymouth) between 2003 and 2006. She trained intensively in CBT, Systemic Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapies.

She is deeply committed to continuing her professional development by keeping up to date with cutting edge evidence based interventions that help with CPTSD, Autistic challenges and also celebrates the strengths that neurodiverse people have and the refreshing elements that their unique ways of viewing the world bring.

She is aware that a therapist can only take her client has far as she has gone in her own healing and has regular personal coaching and supervision to ensure she is providing the best service possible. She has done further training in Systemic therapy completing a foundation and intermediate certificate in Systemic therapy focused on couples and children at The University of Birkbeck, London.

She moved to Australia in 2019 to work for the leading clinic in Autism Spectrum Conditions Minds & Hearts. She was supervised and worked closely with Dr Michelle Garnett and Professor Tony Attwood, leading experts in Autism spectrum conditions. Working with people on the spectrum is her passion and life’s purpose.

He is acutely aware of the importance of personal development and self-care and has an ongoing 10 years of Life Coaching and Professional Supervision with a Senior Occupational & Autism Specialist, for essential personal and professional development to hone the most effective interventions for client needs.

Bachelor of Dental Surgery (Adel. 2000)

During 12 years of training and practice, Toby developed a compassionate and understanding approach to client care. An in-depth understanding of medical science and human biology has left a lasting interest in the human mind and body, as well as the ability to research and think critically.

Movement Method I & II (MM Mentor 2021)

After beginning an intense journey into the world of Autism and neurodiversity in 2017, Movement Method was his first official education and training. This added a deeper understanding of the neuro-physiology of people on the spectrum and the roles of movement, internal and external environment and self-regulation in therapy and support.

Big Art Therapy (developed 2022)

After working and discussing the benefits of art and painting with clients, Toby developed Big Art Therapy which uses large scale canvases and a variety of paint mediums and applicators to incorporate the principles of Movement Method and art therapy into a fun and creative process that helps self-regulation, self-expression and relationship-building.

Early Intervention Therapist Assistant (Gold Coast 2022-23)

Early Childhood Care & Education – Cert. IV (Gold Coast, 2023)

Toby worked in this role at Little Souls Taking Big Steps (Autism Specialty Pre-school) as well as an Early Childhood Educator. This involved one-on-one daily therapy helping with speech, fine and gross motor skills, relationship development, early academic skills, daily living skills, group interaction and speciality communication (PECS, sign etc)

Certificate in Neurodivergence Life Coaching (2024-2025)

Neurodiversity-affirming coaching shifts the focus from fitting in to thriving authentically. Rather than teaching neurodivergent individuals to mask or adapt, this approach celebrates their unique strengths, encourages self-advocacy, and promotes true inclusion. The result is transformation, not through conformity, but through recognition, reflection, and reclamation.”
